Tour Plan:

DAY 1: HA GIANG – QUAN BA – YEN MINH – DONG VAN

• Morning:

- Start the day with breakfast at our hostel in Ha Giang.

- Meet the team and prepare for the trip (you leave your large luggage at the hostel).

- Hit the road and begin the journey towards Dong Van Geopark, enjoying stunning views of majestic mountains and serene villages.

• Stops Along the Way:

- Experience spectacular passes winding through mountains and valleys, and stop at multiple viewpoints along the way. Here are some of the highlights:

• Quan Ba Heaven Gate: Enjoy coffee with breathtaking mountain views.
• Twin Mountains: Visit this unique natural formation.
• Villages: Visit different local villages to learn about local life, such as Nam Dam and Lung Cam.
• H’Mong King’s Palace: Discover the history and architecture of this former royal residence.
• Scenic Passes: Pause at impressive passes and viewpoints such as Tham Ma Pass and Chin Khoanh Pass for incredible photo opportunities.

• Evening:

- Arrive at Dong Van Old Quarter.

- Have dinner and enjoy Happy Water at a local restaurant.

- Walk around to immerse yourself in the nightlife of Dong Van.

DAY 2: DONG VAN – MEO VAC – BAO LAC (CAO BANG) – PAC BO

• Morning:
  • Begin the day with a delightful breakfast.
  • Optional: Free walk around Dong Van Old Quarter and coffee break.

(If it’s Sunday, you have the chance to visit the vibrant local market in Dong Van, which only happens once per week.)

• Journey Highlights:
  • Travel through the iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass at 2,000m altitude, where you can enjoy magnificent mountain views.
  • Small hike to enjoy panoramic views of the mountains and the Nho Que River.
  • Optional: Visit local villages and schools (time permitting).

• Afternoon:
  • Lunch along the way.
  • Continue to Bao Lac Town in Cao Bang Province via the dramatic Khau Coc Tra Pass (“15th Floor Pass”), one of Vietnam’s most challenging routes.

• Evening:
  • Check in at a local homestay in Pac Bo and relax in the tranquil surroundings.

DAY 3: PAC BO – BAN GIOC WATERFALL – NGUOM NGAO CAVE

• Morning:
  • Breakfast at the homestay.
  • Begin the ride along the Chinese border, marveling at the remote and stunning landscapes.
  • Journey Highlights:
  • Nguom Ngao Cave: Explore this limestone wonder, featuring stalactites and stalagmites shaped like coral reefs, lotus flowers, and terraced fields.
  • Ban Gioc Waterfall: Witness the majestic beauty of this iconic waterfall straddling the Vietnam-China border.

• Evening:
  • Travel to a local homestay near Ban Gioc Waterfall.

DAY 4: BAN GIOC WATERFALL – ANGEL EYES MOUNTAIN – CAO BANG CITY

• Morning:
  • Breakfast at the homestay.
  • Visit nearby villages to see locals crafting incense and farming tools.
  • Explore Angel Eyes Mountain (Nui Thung/Nui Mat Than): A mountain with a striking 50-meter-diameter hole, resembling a giant eye. Option for a picnic or a leisurely walk in the area.

• Afternoon:
  • Continue the journey back to Cao Bang City.
  • Arrive around 1-2 PM.
  • Option to take a bus back to Hanoi (self-book or arrange through the BiBi team).
